INVESTIGATION AND
PLANNING
Technical Writing
Action Environmental personnel routinely prepare
technical reports for submission to various regulatory
agencies. In addition, technical specifications and contract
documents are prepared in accordance with the Construction
Specifications Institute (CSI) for projects which must go
out to bid to general or remediation contractors.
Resource
Recovery
Classic resource recovery includes methane gas recovery from
landfills, trash transfer station design and recycling
facility design. Action Environmental is also engaged in
operational upgrades to several scrap yards.
Hazmat Planning
In addition to conducting hazardous waste compliance audits,
Action Environmental assists clients with hazardous waste
disposal and the development of hazardous materials
planning. Action Environmental utilizes its basic hazmat
plan outline and structures it to meet the needs of a
specific client. This service can be provided quickly and
gives the plant or operations manager the regulatory
knowledge required to manage various wastestreams.
Remedial
Investigation (RI)
The term, Remedial Investigation, refers to sites which fall
under the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act and may ultimately
be assessed superfund sites. However, the same initial
investigative techniques may be referred to as a Phase I for
a site which is known or suspected to be nonhazardous. The
purpose of the Remedial Investigation is to confirm a
release or imminent threat of a release. The investigation
further determines whether an immediate response action is
required or whether no further action is required. The
investigation will determine whether action is appropriate
under Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act regulations or whether
action should be conducted under another authority.
